TIC Disorder

Tic disorder is a common pediatric neurological disorder that severely affects children’s quality of life. But in fact, there is still a lack of a very effective treatment for tic disorder. Acupuncture is a flexible treatment time, treatment cycle control, and easy-to-operate treatment method, widely used in neurological disorders and widely praised by clinicians and patients. At the same time, tic disorder belongs to the category of chronic inflammatory convulsion in traditional Eastern medicine, and acupuncture has a good effect of relieving spasticity and fewer adverse reactions, making acupuncture a good application prospect. More and more studies about acupuncture treatment of tic disorder in children have been published.

The disease is not important. The “patient” is important, because the patient has created the disease. The cause is in the patient; the disease is only a symptom. You can change the symptom, and another symptom will come up. You can force this disease by drugs, you can stop its expression, but then the disease will assert itself somewhere else and with more danger, more force – with a vengeance. So we will feel the “patient.” As we all aware education and experience equality important. But most important to get in tune with the “patient” and find the cause using both western and eastern medicine. We care and will build a rapport; and create a bridge on your healing journey!

    Methods of Treating TIC Disorder

The main methods of treating tic disorder are acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and scalp and ear acupuncture. The efficacy of acupuncture alone or in combination with other drugs, such as tiapride hydrochloride and haloperidol, is good. The safety of acupuncture is also commendable, and clinical trials show that combining acupuncture and medication can reduce it.

According to existing studies, acupuncture can promote the development and repair of the nervous system, regulate the secretion of neurotransmitters, and reduce the occurrence of local discomfort, which may be the primary mechanism of acupuncture treatment for tic disorders.
