OSHO Alokada Ashram is a yoga retreat and meditation centre founded by Yog Nanak in British Columbia, Canada.

OSHO ASHRAM

OSHO Alokada Ashram is an enduring and vibrant spiritual community. Set in the beautiful mountains of southeastern British Columbia, we invite people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their self-development and discover the promise of yoga, kirtan and meditation.

As a charity and active learning centre, the Ashram helps people bring quality into their lives through yogic tools and experiential learning. Spiritually we focus on Light and the Divine Feminine, much needed in our world right now. We offer a wide range of yoga programs and therapies year-round – from a three-month intensive to private restorative retreats, teacher certifications and introductions to yoga and meditations. Our popular Service and Study programs are for those interested in learning about Karma Yoga, or the yoga of selfless service, our spiritual practice.

OSHO Alokada Ashram

OSHO Alokada Ashram is a residential community with several full-time residents who make our home here. Our doors are open to welcome others’ help as stewards of OSHO’s and other Spiritual teachings and the caretakers of this sacred space. We are grateful to be joined in our efforts by many long and short-term Karma Yogis, as well as teachers-in-training, course participants, guest teachers and retreat guests. Although some years we have seen 1500 people pass through the Ashram in a year since the pandemic, this number is much reduced.

Living with awareness in both the inner and outer worlds, OSHO Ashram is deeply committed to participating in sustainable environmental practices. We consider environmental action an essential part of our social responsibility and ecological integrity, a method of Ashram’s yogic principle of non-violence

A Book for Seekers on the Path
The Autobiography of Osho’s
Last Indian Secretary
Ma Yoga Neelam

THE MASTER ASSIGNED HIS DISCIPLE A TASK

… to write a book sharing her experiences with him, that which can help the ‘seekers on the path’. Before leaving his body, he gave her the book title, and even promised his help.

THE DISCIPLE BECAME
A VESSEL

… amidst chemo and other bodily hurdles, finished not only the manuscript, but two rounds of editing, right before, gracefully leaving her body.

OUR GROUNDS

Osho Alokada Ashram is deeply connected to the soul of nature of Aboriginal Land (Spirit Land); the grounds are an essential part of our identity as a centre and permeate everything we do. Whether you’re here for a weekend workshop, a festival, or our more extended residential programmes, you will not leave without feeling touched by their tranquillity.

OUR MISSION

We are situated on 9 acres of land, with ancient trees, small forests and a wildflower meadow. We also have a vegetable garden created with permaculture principles and an apple orchard. Our Sangha is passionate about the land and gardens in a way that is in tune with nature, without using chemical fertilizers or pesticides. In the summer, our Tipi – Harmony – is used for various sessions, workshops, and sometimes for sleeping in!

If you venture outside the Osho Leela site via a short drive or longer cycle ride, you will find several beaches and rivers suitable for wild swimming. There are some spectacular walks in the local countryside, world-renowned parks, and ski resorts.

OSHO

Osho, the Indian mystic, inspired a generation of spiritual seekers by blending eastern mysticism with western psychotherapy. His communities worldwide have attracted thousands of people ‘on the path’ and continue to be catalysts for profound transformation.
